Rhododendrons are not quite suited to the Southern climate, but lovers of these beautiful flowers can still enjoy their lovely sight in their gardens. Five easy steps on growing rhododendrons in the South are presented, including choosing the right variety, buying plants grown in the South and East, and finding the right spot.

Japanese primrose: simply spectacular

Article Abstract:

The Japanese primrose (Primula japonica) is a perennial that thrives in wet soil, especially along the banks of a stream or pond. The plants reseed easily and are best planted from seed. Several of these plants grace the banks of the Mount Cuba Center in Greenville, DE.

Powis Castle artemisia is a perennial plant named after a famous Welsh castle from whose gardens it originated. Its delicately filigreed foliage blends well with coarser-leaved plants such as cornflower, hibiscus, hydrangea, daffodil and iris.
