Article Abstract:

The impact of the late 1980s recession on the trade has led to decline in the dealer participation in antiques and collectibles shows, especially in New England and the Mid-Atlantic states. As a result, a need was felt to expand their market sales opportunities through various methods such as promoting the trade of antiques and collectibles and building close customer relationships.

Rinker on collectibles: antiquing in Paris-continued

Article Abstract:

The first antiquing destination for most individuals in Paris is the Marche Aux Puces, which includes a collection of more than a dozen individual flea markets with the total number of stall owners exceeding 2,000. Antiques in Paris are costly where in many cases it ranges from two and three times the cost of the same object in the American market.
