Some points have been raised about A view to a skill, concerning the new NVQ scheme for electricians. The bold statement 'Out go city & Guilds exams' was later refuted, but it is understood that a new C&G course is being developed by JIB/JTL and not mainly by C&G. The article claims that log books will be signed off by the employer, but it is questioned whether the employer will actually check that the work has been undertaken. Diverse Evidence, greater involvement from the employer and failure rates are also questioned.
