Whacking weeds: how to choses and use a weed trimmer - powered and otherwise

Article Abstract:

There are several varieties of weed trimmers all operating with a blade that is a heavy monofilament spinning line. Light electric models cost about $20, heavier ones cost up to $60. Gas-powered trimmers range from $50-$150. Hand tools such as scythes, sickles, clippers and the weed whip are also useful.
