White-throated sparrow: Great looks, a distinctive song, and oh-wow traits make this feathered friend unforgettable

Article Abstract:

Every year around November or December, the white-throated sparrow appears with the seasonal song and three very fascinating behaviors. The white-throated sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis) belongs to the New World group (only found in North and South America) that also contains song sparrows, field sparrows, and white-crowned sparrows and prefers scrubby areas, hedges, and fencerows.
