Cost Plus, Restoration post solid 4Q, year sales gains

Article Abstract:

Oakland, California based Cost Plus World Market, and fellow specialty retailer Restoration Hardware have reported solid revenue gains in their fourth quarters and years ended January 29, with Cost Plus's fourth-quarter revenues up 9.7% and Restoration's sales growing 13.9%. Sales gains were 13.3% for Cost Plus and 19.9% for Corte Madera, California based Restoration in the year 2005. The relevant statistical data is presented.

Williams-Sonoma 1Q earnings up 59.7%

Retailer Williams-Sonoma, helped by healthy furniture sale in its Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids brands, reported a 59.70 percent earning gain in the first quarter of 2004. Laura Alber, president of Pottery Barn division feels that catalogs remain a key driver of business.
