Havertys 1st-quarter profits surge 25.6%

The favorable changes in the economy and the boom in the furniture market have increased the profits of Havertys in the first quarter by 25.6 percent. Moreover, the company plans to have three new outlets for its products and also enlarge three of its most profit making stores.

Havertys, Pier 1 same-store sales rise; Bombay's drops

Article Abstract:

Havertys and Pier 1 Imports underwent a growth rate of 8.3 percent in March 2004 as compared to the Bombay Company which faced a loss of 6 percent. Havertys has stores in almost 16 states in the U.S.
