Kay's football promos stir healthy sales gains

Article Abstract:

Kay Furniture President Frank Thomas stressed that the retailer's NFL football-connected promotional events always attract interest and result in sales gains. Twice every year, in August before the kickoff of football season and just before the Super Bowl, the furniture retailer runs a Super Saturday sale, such as popcorn, special prices, T-shirts and an opportunity to win season tickets to the games of the Kansas City Chiefs. To induce participation to the sale and to announce store events, Kay Furniture uses its mailing list of clients. Advertising vehicles that include TV, newspaper and radio, among others, are also employed by Kay Furniture.
