New trade group seeks to bolster U.S. textiles: two existing industry associations, including ATMI, appear on verge of folding

Article Abstract:

A new trade group called the National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO) is forming the intention to represent the U.S. textile industry with a broad base then the two existing groups. The American Textile Manufacturers Institute and American Yarn Spinners, the two existing trade group are both said to be dismantling.

Vietnam agreement unsettling for textiles

Leaders in the textile industry have raised concerns over the U.S.' new trade agreement with Vietnam. The leaders said that the US were pressured by major retailers despite having assured them that they would be restrained in talks with Vietnam.
