Flexsteel expanding Ga. factory

Article Abstract:

Flexsteel is expanding its Dublin, GA, motion upholstery plant with 90,000 sq ft, through a three-phase project expected to finish by January 1999. The expansion will place the overall size of the facility at 240,000 sq ft and will cost over $2 million. The Flexsteel plant's general manager, Marcia Dixon, said the first phase of the expansion includes extra space for its CNC routers for frame cutting. The second phase will involve an additional 45,500 sq ft for warehouse space for improved shipping capabilities, while the last phase calls for adding 36,000 sq ft in manufacturing space.
