John Kelly allies with Singapore's Fowseng

Article Abstract:

John Kelly Furniture Design of New York City, NY, has entered a partnership with Fowseng of Singapore that will shift manufacturing to Malaysia from West Virginia, a move that will reduce its manufacturing cost by about 40%. John Kelly, which has renewed its participation at the High Point, NC, market in 1998, said that the new prices will make it competitive with the other firms showing their wares at High Point. Fowseng, which has both manufacturing and retail operations in Malaysia and Singapore, will make medium to high-end furnitures for John Kelly.
