Busy time for EU-level social partners

Article Abstract:

The status of the European CommissionEs consultation on revision of European Works Councils directive covering industrial relations and the 1993 working time directive is furnished. The consultations were held with social partners, i.e., UNICE for private sector employers, CEEP for public sector employers, and the ETUC for the trade unions.

Moderate increases as focus shifts from pay

Issues regarding pay revisions and working hours in the member countries of the European Union are discussed. Recent developments observed in collective bargaining agreements in this regard, in the member countries like Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Hungary are examined.
