Compensation culture

Article Abstract:

The Health and Safety Commission (HSC) explored why certain sections of the community believe there is a compensation culture in the UK, and the damage that this perception could do to the prosperity and well being of the UK if it is not tackled. The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) reports that the very fact that the compensation culture myth persists has actually undermined the rights of injured persons to claim compensation.
