Dispositional and situational determinants of trust in two types of managers

Article Abstract:

Article reports on a study which examined the extent to which dispositional factors and situational factors predicted employees' reported trust in their managers. 398 employees of a hospital and two divisions of a high street bank in the United Kingdom were studies. Study results are indicative of the difficulty in predicting trust in the workplace as well as the challenge of managers in creating a trusting culture.
