Euro-action on noise at work

Article Abstract:

European Concerted Action on Protection Against noise was set up to bring together experts from various scientific, medical and technical fields in order to develop research programmes to increase understanding of the effects of noise, develop protocols, design better hearing protectors and also to educate people about the problems caused by excessive noise. The World Health organisation estimates that 120 million people in the world have significant hearing problems and many of these are caused by noise in the workplace or environmental noise.
