Forging a Strong Link Between HRD and Performance Appraisal

Article Abstract:

The human resource development (HRD) professional, by appraising data company-wide, can pinpoint what is needed to improve job performance. A before-and-after indication of training results can then be made. Further training needs become evident as performance appraisals become more valid. Co-operation between the HRD function, the appraisal function, and the employees, leads to company- wide benefits.
