From campus to partner

Article Abstract:

The programs initiated by LEADS, a comprehensive leadership development initiative employed by Grant Thornton to support the leaders of the company during their career with the firm are described. A program called Footsteps aims to train college students in leadership, the Partner Candidate Development Program is a collaborative experience designed to prepare qualifies senior managers for the transition to partner, while the Partner Leadership Program helps in the growth and development of partners.

Several tips are presented for training professionals to improve their presentation and speaking skills in order to hold the attention of the participants and motivate them. Some of these include changing the display order of the information on the slides, using the presentation only as a guide to the written report, and involving participant discussion.
