Fire death brings pounds 142000 penalty for steel contractor

Article Abstract:

The details pertaining to the fined levied on Short Brothers, an industrial service contractor, after one of its employees, Carl Parsons, was fatally burned when the truck he was driving overturned and caught fire. On investigation of the accident, it was found that property safety measures were not employed. The contractor is expected to pay pounds 142000 in costs and a fine of pounds 100000.
