How new venture initial public offerings benefit from international operations: a study of human resource value

Article Abstract:

The potential for new venture firms to benefit from international diversity is considered. It is suggested that the benefits of being international are greater than the risks for new venture initial public offering firms. It seems that higher-performing businesses may have managers who recognize the importance of human resource value to effective internationalization.

Article Abstract:

A discussion of the employee relations systems of non-union and unionized employers in Australia is presented. It was found that non-union workplaces compare unfavourably with unionized workplaces in several significant ways. Non-union workplaces had clearly worse employee relations with regard to dismissal and labour turnover rates.
