Equal value procedures to be improved

Article Abstract:

The government's new proposals for equal value procedures include early exchange of information, use equal value hearings to set parameters, agree to use timetables, and ensure that Acas appointed experts get relevant information early to be effective. A three stage equal value hearings is proposed to deal with the cases under equal value.

Bill expands definition of disability

Article Abstract:

The major changes relating to definitions of disability and mental impairment, increasing protection of persons with cancer, multiple sclerosis and HIV etc., in the Disability Discrimination bill introduced in the House of Lords are discussed.
