Article Abstract:

The benefits of having a computer system in the insurance business are listed.Sales represenatives and managers both derive many advantages when using a computer. Sales illustrations, premium calculations, the processing of applications, access to policy value information, correspondence and generating leads are all faster and easier functions with a computer. The computer helps sales representatives provide personal services. The sales tracking and reporting system (STARS) provides the manager with key information that aids in the development of salespeople.

Jaguar's reconditioned pay system

Article Abstract:

Jaguar Cars was privatized in 1984, following a decade of financial and labor problems. Almost all conditions have improved since then, including nearly tripled productivity compensation rates. For laborers, staff, and management there is an annual bonus system, based on company profits and meeting objectives. Employees also participate in two different profit-sharing plans. One of the big challenges now is to reduce the difference in working conditions between hourly factory workers and staff workers.
