Labour costs and productivity high and rising

Article Abstract:

According to research figures, Finland has the sixth-highest labor costs for industrial workers in the world. At the same time, production levels are high and are increasing at an average of 3.1% a year between 1975 and 2000. The average cost of a Finnish worker is 23.02 euros per hour.

Article Abstract:

The Finnish finance minister Antii Kalliomaki has indicated that the taxation policy as means of supporting a new incomes policy agreement. The current two-year accord on incomes policy will be expiring by February 2005 and the new incomes policy discussions are to begin soon.

International: comparative manufacturing industry labor costs in 2003

Article Abstract:

According to the Institute of German Economy's annual report, the hourly labor costs in Western German manufacturing industry in 2003 were 36% above the average among its competitor countries. The relevant statistics of different countries in the year 2003 are presented.
