Liberating HR through technology

Article Abstract:

A model that describes the technology implementation process, which treats installation of human resources (HR) technology as a form of innovation, is introduced. The results show that HR enabled by technology can lift an entire organization to a higher plateau, provided there is recognition of the informing potential of technology.

Using the job demands-resources model to predict burnout and performance

Article Abstract:

Job demands are hypothesized to be the most important antecedents of the exhaustion components of burnout whereas job resources are hypothesized to be the most important predictors of extra-role performance. Job demands and job resources initiate two psychological processes, which eventually affect organizational outcomes.

Preparing the HR profession for technology and information work

Article Abstract:

HR and technology have broad influence upon each other, technology changes the administration of human resources (HR). HR education must be such that it lays more emphasis on technology issues and HR educators must acquire the skills needed to teach these courses.
