Post-retirement medical care

Article Abstract:

The Loi Evin Law was enacted in France in Dec 31, 1989, to ensure that retired employees would still get the health coverage similar to that provided while employed. The law stated that the heath programs can only be given by insurance companies, pension institutions offering risk benefit programs, and non-profit mutual associations run on a nationwide, occupational or company basis. The law also stated that health coverage must be provided to retirees, disabled people, the unemployed and survivors.

Providing international medical cover for expatriates and key local nationals

Article Abstract:

Expatriates in remote areas in Sweden may experience difficulties during emergency situations because insurance certificates and payment guarantees sent by fax are not guaranteed to provide immediate treatment. Thus, multinational companies have prompted their insurance carriers to be involved in planning and implementing risk prevention and emergency response procedures. International corporate health insurance plans were developed to answer expatriates' need during emergency situations.
