Article Abstract:

An employer should put health and safety policies into practice by assessing every risk and every vulnerable worker, apply control measures and deal effectively with health and safety concerns. To achieve this, there are a number of simple steps to take such as synthesizing readable policies with education, mentoring, incident reporting, feedback and enforcement.

Employers also need to protect workers from contracting HIV in the workplace and it is a legal duty to protect the health of both their employees and members of the public.
