Rethinking Likert

Article Abstract:

The traditional 360-measurement scale by Rensis Likert does not make people change behavior or improve their skills. To address these problems, Development Dimensions International (DDI) has created and patented a new online 360 assessment tool called Targeted Feedback where raters are presented with a list of competencies relevant to the ratee's position, and are asked to pick the ratee's three strongest and three weakest areas and then raters select the ones most pertinent to the ratee.
