Working at height

Article Abstract:

According to a survey by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), falling from height is the most common cause of fatal injury and the second most common cause of major injury to employees. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 requires the employer to ensure proper planning and organization of all work at height, employing competent workers, assessment of the risks from work at height and selecting the appropriate work equipment.

Article Abstract:

The employers must provide adequate information to the employees about the risk involved in the job and the health and safety measures that should be undertaken to avoid accidents and illnesses at the workplace. The rules specify that every organization must display the health and safety law poster in addition to it the safety signs must be used wherever required, to inform the employees against the hazards.
