The communication tools inherent in corporate culture

Article Abstract:

Corporate communication programs should be designed to harmonize with and enhance a corporation's culture. For communication purposes, corporate culture can be broken into four components: 'business environment' sketches in the broad outlines of culture, 'values and beliefs' determine the actions of employees in the workplace, 'heroes' provide archetypes for workers, and 'structure' establishes the day-to-day interaction of corporate personnel. By carefully manipulating internal media, a communication manager can reinforce these four critical elements of corporate culture.
