The 'future' of U.S. manufacturing?

Article Abstract:

A 2005 study shows that most US manufacturers are facing a serious shortage of qualified employees, which is negatively affecting America's ability to compete in the global economy. A shared responsibility between government, business and educators is needed to increase the priority given to human capital, while improving the quality and performances of the education and training system, and the main challenge of the manufacturers to attract, retain and motivate a high-performance workforce.
