The management of labour in Japanese manufacturing plants in China

Article Abstract:

The nature and activities of Japanese manufacturing investments in China are discussed. It was found that the transfer of Japanese manufacturing techniques to China was generally low. In most plants, Japanese investors in China found barriers to transferring Japanese management.

Article Abstract:

The human resource management strategies of township and village enterprises (TVE) in China are discussed. Many employees in large TVE organizations are formally trained and their pay is linked to skill and performance levels.
