The persistent myth of high expatriate failure rates

Article Abstract:

Researchers commonly claim expatriate failure rates are high despite the lack of empirical evidence to support this in relation to those expatriates who return from their assignment prior to the expiry of their contracts. Researchers frequently misquote three articles to support their claims, even though solid evidence is provided in just one of those articles and the evidence provided shows the expatriate failure rate to be low. Research is critically analysed.
