The record on compulsory retirement financing

Article Abstract:

The works of Dr. John Piggott, professor of economics and director for pensions and superannuation at the University of New South Wales, describes the problem of Australia, fallen into a compulsion regime. He was aware of pitfalls of compulsion, including substitution, whereby only 62 percent of the compulsory superannuation savings represented additional saving.
