The study of career needs, career development programmes and job satisfaction levels of R& D personnel: the case of Taiwan

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to explore the relative gap between career development programmes and career needs and its subsequent causal effect on job satisfaction level among research and development personnel. The administration in Taiwan has placed significant emphasis on the development of the island's high-tech industries.

Global versus facet predictors of intention to quit: differences in a sample of male and female Singaporean managers and non-managers

Article Abstract:

A sample of almost 1200 Singaporeans was used to examine the relationship between quit intentions and global measures job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The global measures were highly and similarly correlated to an individual's intention to quit in all groups, suggesting no gender/job level effects.
