Italy: social security reinvents the contribution method

Article Abstract:

The Italian Ministry of Labor implemented a contribution method for its pension system in 1995. The pension received will be calculated from the amount of contribution remitted by an employee throughout his working life. The system avoids the need to calculate pension from seniority and eliminates the need of public pension companies to invest in property.
