The value of subjectivity: problems and prospects for 360-degree appraisal systems

Article Abstract:

The problems and prospects of 360-degree feedback method for human resource management practices are studied. The research shows that there is consistent difference in self-ratings versus supervisor ratings and as long as these differences are understood, the multi-source assessments would lead to false sense of security and objectivity.

Neo - pluralism as a theoretical framework for understanding HRM in sub- Saharan Africa

Article Abstract:

In the sub-Saharan Africa, the broader social and moral issues of the wider community have a decisive influence on the employment relationship. ' Applied' western human resource management is largely based on unitarist conceptions of organizational reality. And conceptions tend to follow orthodox expressions of pluralism.

Devolution or (de)centralization of HRM function in European organizations

Article Abstract:

A study on the conditions and changes in the human resource function in varoius European states, which is defined as 'devolution' or 'decentralization' is presented. The reuslts indicate that a country plays an important role in setting limitation or providing encouragement towards devolution.
