Top management teams and pioneering: a resource-based view

Article Abstract:

It is possible to identify a number of separate stages in pioneering behaviour in successful management teams. Information obtained from high technology companies in the US and Ireland can be used to consider relationships between the characteristics of leading management teams. It is clear that there are links between the characteristics of these teams and the pioneering behaviour of the companies within which they work in environments where rapid change is taking place.
