The increasing automation of insurance brokers and agencies and the switch to Microsoft Windows-based computer systems provides an opportunity to maximize the combination of people and machines. Rather than trying to fit the new technology into an existing environment, companies should create a new environment to make the most of the system. The pathing features on many automation products can be used to create standard, consistent procedures. the procedures should be developed by teams that include the users, to create a sense of involvement.

Training for software success

Article Abstract:

Computer industries are busy investing on new high-end computer systems that provide highly sophisticated software. The producers of these systems tend to focus on the software application but fail to provide a solid training ground underlying operating system. The training being provided by software doesn't consider varying levels of computer literacy within the customer's organization. Many users opine that their productivity are greatly hindered by their lack of proper orientation on the software's exotic new features.

A general explanation of computer bulletin boards, focusing on their structure, purposes and use, is presented. Private bulletin boards, the use of which is restricted to specific individuals, are operated predominantly by corporations.
