In Milan it's stylish to live in the centre of town

Article Abstract:

The value of real estate in Milan, Italy, varies a great deal according to neighbourhood. Apartments with balconies and on the top floor are also worth more. There was an increase of 20% in the number of houses sold in Milan in 1995. The market is based on the desire to buy a home, and the speculative element is largely absent. The real estate industry is also affected by the Metro, and proximity to a Metro station helps boost prices since most Italians use this form of transportation to go to work.

Do your systems have only five years to live?

Article Abstract:

Insurance agents should be aware of problems associated with how computers record date information. Many computer applications only use the last two digits of the year to indicate what the year is. However, once the year 2000 arrives, all programming based on this use of a truncated version of the year could result in problems. For example, an agency's computer might calculate that an insurance policy needed to be renewed when in actuality the policy was still in effect.
