Liability concerns of dog owners and their insurers

Article Abstract:

The ownership of dogs, particularly those considered as vicious, is becoming a principal cause of liability losses. In this regard, a survey was conducted to have a better insight of current insurer treatment of the issue dealing with the occurrence of injuries cause by dog bites. The results of the survey showed that 70% of surveyed insurance firms opted not to provide coverage upon knowledge of a dog exposure problem at the time of application. Others provided property coverage only while some chose to inspect the premises to examine the exposure.

The coinage game: neologic nellies: one person's neologism is often another person's trademark

Article Abstract:

A neologism is the coining of a new word. But the word may already be in use as in the case of 'digivision,' which is the name of a corporation. Syntex prohibits use of 'also,' 'as well,' and 'too,' interchangeably in a sentence. The use of possessives before gerunds is also discussed.
