Object technology offers various benefits related to business forms management. These benefits include code reusability, scaleability, extendability and interoperability. Electronic data interchange functions are also included. Acord's ObjX software offers Object technology benefits to the software's users. The software may be downloaded from the company's Web site by agents participating in the company's Advantage program.

Groupware is more than just glorified E-mail

Groupware is a tool that insurers can use to improve productivity and create better relationships with customers. Groupware has electronic mail capabilities, but it is much more than just a message program. Groupware also has database management and work flow/application capabilities. It can be used for policy reviews and to generate proposals. Brokerages and commercial carriers can create integrated relationships with customers using groupware.

High-tech cure is at hand for Internet insecurities

The Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) standard for digital encryption and decryption should make conducting business over the Internet more secure and more comfortable for security-conscious consumers. The standard will provide each user with a public key for data encryption and a secret key for data decryption. SET will also make use of digital certificates which authenticate user identity through the use of verified digital signatures.
