A nuclear-armed North Korea: Accepting the 'Unacceptable'?

Article Abstract:

North Korea's missile tests launches has exposed the fact that the entreaties made by the SIX-Party Talks, four of the world's strongest military and economic powers- the United States, China, Russia and Japan, have proven incapable of preventing North Korea, an impoverished, dysfunctional country from consistently endangering the peace and stability of Northeast Asia. The Six-Party Talks would have a chance to rein in, or reverse, North Korea's nuclear programme only when the other parties to the Six-Party talks undertake a fundamental reassessment of the costs and benefits of their current policies.
