Body politics and the Rwandan crisis

Article Abstract:

The 'micro-level' testimonial evidence collected in human rights reports is examined to shed light on one particularly under-theorised realm and approach, that of gender and the politics of the body . It has also explored some of the gendered dichotomies of extremist Hutu and Tutsi discourses for how they play into competing national visions and, in turn, mark the body.
