Conversion is dead, long live conversion!

Article Abstract:

Russia is attempting to convert the facilities formerly devoted to military production for industrial use. However, these efforts are being questioned as some sectors believe that they should maintain military capabilities for national security. Meanwhile, other sectors are calling for greater diversification in which these facilities may regain some usefulness in Russia's striving for economic competitiveness in the global market.

It's adapt or perish in the middle market

Article Abstract:

Life insurance sales to persons in middle income brackets have declined as savings programs win market share compared to death benefits. For example, sales costs of 20%-30% for life insurance cannot compete with much lower rates for mutual funds. Integrated financial services offer customers choices, as proved by programs in Europe and Australia. Life insurance marketing and services should be adapted to the needs of clients.
