Policekeeping is the key: rebuilding the internal security architecture of postwar Iraq

Article Abstract:

Saddam Hussein has maintained power in Iraq by repressive means, so a significant priority following US-led intervention will be reestablishing sustainable governance. This may best be established by a large Muslim force of peacekeepers recruited from surrounding nations, preventing social fragmentation and civil war.

Why did we bomb Belgrade?

Article Abstract:

Issues regarding the reasons for NATO's air strikes against Belgrade in reprisal for the Kosovo crisis are discussed. Thhe motive was protection of NATO's image rather than humanitarian intervention on the side of the Kosovar people.
