Political warfare can be described as a non-violent instrument of grand strategy comprising tangible, interrelated operations such as targeted economic aid, development projects, as well as the training, arming and equipping of military and security forces. A study discusses the origins of political warfare, the controversies surrounding its meaning, and its importance to the US in the 21st century.

National strategy to combat weapons of mass destruction

Article Abstract:

Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) could be nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, which are posing a major security threat to the United States, its friends, and allies. Counter proliferation, strengthened nonproliferation and consequence management to respond to WMD use are the three pillars of the strategy to combat the acquiring and use of WMD by terrorist groups and hostile states.

Uncertain future: A strategic review of the Middle East and implications for the United States

Article Abstract:

Important trends in the Middle East and North Africa with respect to military threat reduction are reviewed. The emerging strategic challenges are identified which make it imperative that the United States moves its focus away from the use of military force and towards a holistic regional strategy.
