The United States of America in keeping with its super power image maintains incomparable military strength and great economic and political clout, the infrastructure to help build a safer and better world. Some aspects which signify the United States National Security Strategy to meet the challenges of the 21st century are stated.

An analysis of reduced collateral damage nuclear weapons

Article Abstract:

In the face of the new security environment in the U.S., the approach to weapon systems development should be to achieve reduced collateral damage (RCD). It should be able to develop and deploy the RCD weapons whenever required, to fully tap their benefits within the smaller nuclear force the U.S is maintaining.

'Bunker busters' and intra-war deterrence: A case for caution and two solutions

Article Abstract:

The relationship between new specialized nuclear weapons and US intra-war explores the deterrence threats. It is observed that threats of punishment could be made more credible if low-yield nuclear weapons designed for use against military targets on the battlefield are introduced.
