The 'war on terror': Good cause, wrong concept

Article Abstract:

When US President Bush declared war on terror immediately after the September 11, 2001 incident, the initial reaction amongst many was that the campaign should be renamed, as the word war gives unnecessary importance to a bunch of criminals who lust after power. A little over three years after the terror strikes on September 11, the campaign has not resolved the problem of international terrorism and even though the concept of waging war on terrorists is great, it is a very skewed way of quelling terrorists.
