Insurgency and the opening of peace process

Article Abstract:

An explanation of timing of negotiation during insurgency is developed. The study observed that in the majority of insurgencies, the combatants would often refuse to consider the possibility of negotiation, as the time wears on and war costs mount, the government may extend for negotiation and if the conflicts are not managed within ten years, then likelihood of settlement diminishes.
