A record seal of approval; USPS EPM quickens BMV records delivery

Article Abstract:

United States Postal Service's(USPS) Electronic Postmark(EPM) gives prosecutors the ability to receive digitally signed BMV records, which is legally certified and it is delivered through access-Indiana, the official portal for the state of Indiana. The software provides the security when handling physical mail, including criminal investigations and prosecutions when electronic documents are tempered.

An open source: new software promises to advance electronic court filing

Article Abstract:

The Oregon-based software company, Counterclaim Inc., is in the process of developing new software that would allow convenient electronic filing of court documents for all the lawyers and courts around the country. The open source software would allow lawyers to file documents any time of the day or night and give them access to docket information schedules and the work of opposing counsel.

New Mexico's Metropolitan Courthouse in Bernalillo County implemented wireless technology to provide Internet access to its personnel and jurors. The lawyers, judges and others are allowed to easily connect to the Internet or make calls via wireless Voice over Internet Protocol anywhere in the 10-story building.
