Insurance agents can protect themselves from lawsuits by following some basic public relations rules. Develop a professional relationship with clients and provide good service. Immediately respond to clients' inquiries. Keep proper and complete documentation. Make sure your staff is friendly and can handle their jobs. Know the product and continue your education in the field. Enlist the help of your E&O carrier when necessary. Follow the advice of professionals who are hired to represent your interests. Believe in yourself and the valued service you are providing.

The loss of a child can be devastating both emotionally and financially by distracting the wage-earners from their work and imposing additional expenses, but insurance can help with this. Insured medical reimbursement plans can cover counseling and associated services not covered by most insurance plans, and life insurance on the children can, in the case of their deaths, provide needed cash flow while covering the new, temporary expenses.
